Fights to make after UFC 212

Max Holloway vs Frankie Edgar

Frankie Edgar showed to still be one of the best in the division, and deserves the next shot against Holloway.

Jose Aldo vs Ricardo Lamas II

Ricardo Lamas was supposed to face Chan Sung Jung but after an injury force Jung to withdraw Lamas needs a next opponent. If Aldo wins this he could easily get the next title shot.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Jessica Andrade

Both fighters coming off a loss looking to bounce back and work their way to another title shot.

Cláudia Gadelha vs Joanna Jędrzejczyk III

Gadelah is in an interesting scenario. She is probably the second best strawweight fighter, but has loss to Joanna twice. If Joanna beats Rose Namajunas in her next fight Gadelha should get the next chance.

Vitor Belfort vs Anderson Silva II

Vitor surprised some when he said that he has 5 fights left, with a title seemingly out of the picture, a rematch with Anderson Silva could be the fight that makes sense for both of these fighters.

Nate Marquardt vs Lyoto Machida

Machida comes off a lengthy suspension in October, and a “warm up” fight might not be a bad idea after being gone for so long. The timeline works, and Nate has been around long enough that you can justify it.

Paulo Borrachinha vs Uriah Hall

Borrachinha is undefeated, but has yet to face many quality opponents. It might be time to give him his first ranked opponent, and Uriah hall coming off a few loses might be the best opponent for him.

Oluwale Bamgbose vs Alex Nicholson

Bamgbose is 1-3 in the UFC and has struggled to find his footing. The only other fighter with a 1-3 record in the UFC in the middleweight division is Alex Nicholson. If this fight were to happen loser might be getting their release notice.

Yancy Medeiros vs Matt Brown

Medeiros is undefeated since moving to welterweight, and is knocking on the door of the top 15. Matt Brown currently sits at 14 and hasn’t fought in 2017. This will be a good test for the up and coming Medeiros.

Erick Silva vs Mickey Gall

Mickey Gall is still undefeated, and a is due for a step up in competition. Erick Silva would be a great next fight for Gall, and would be plenty of fireworks.
