The Baltimore Ravens lost 2nd year nickel-corner and rising playmaker Tavon Young for the season to an ACL tear at practice today. Young was graded the 26th cornerback by Pro Football Focus last season while racking up 50 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 8 passes defended (which ranked 2nd on the team.) Although Young's injury puts a setback on Tony Jefferson's "legendary defense" claim, it proves the Ravens 1st round pick in Marlon Humphrey, was a smart one. Expect Baltimore's starting secondary to be Eric Weddle and Jefferson at safety with Jimmy Smith and Humphrey at corner and Brandon Carr at nickel.
