Ravens Lose Another Player to Injury

What a terrible week for the Baltimore Ravens.  Yesterday rising cornerback Tavon Young tore his ACL, and today veteran tight end Dennis Pitta dislocated his hip for the 3rd time in 4 years.  Pitta, who led all tight ends with receptions (86), has always been Joe Flacco's security blanket since being drafted in 2010.  Pitta, who spent most of last offseason convincing mostly everyone that he could still play, is going to have to think long and hard about continuing his career since surgery is imminent.  Many will say this makes Baltimore passing on OJ Howard sting more, but cornerback was a more pressing need.  They still have tight ends Benjamin Watson, Crockett Gillmore, Maxx Williams, and Darren Waller on the roster.  Whatever Pitta decides to do with his career, I have to thank him for being my favorite player and being a huge part in the Ravens 2012 Super Bowl run.
